I'm a woodworker, but I did the carpentry only briefly right after school. After that I started to work in MOSS thanks to the friend´s recommendation. And it has already been 20 years I spent in the MOSS warehouse. I initially worked as a warehouseman, we had only two carts, everything was pulling manually, stock records were made in Microsoft excel. Today thanks to new technologies we have plenty of storage technology and our job is easier.

Lately I was responsible for storing a group of customers, guarding and optimizing inventory, packing goods on pallets, training new colleagues. After twenty years at MOSS, I accepted an offer to manage the entire warehouse. I now lead a larger team, the work is even more diverse, and I’ve moved from working among the shelves to working in the office.

In MOSS I deal with the administrative part of the warehousing expedition - I prepare the documents for the delivery drivers. I've been working here for 15 years and because I live nearby I ride a bike to work when possible. We are not only colleagues in the office but after those years also good friends. There is much laughing during the working day, we do not take ourselves very seriously, have glass of wine after work... I met my boyfriend at company barbecue seven years ago - Luboš works as an international driver in MOSS.

I have been distributing goods from the warehouse to the stores all over the country for 15 years. First I drove a truck but I wanted to spend more time at home with my family. That is why I changed MOSS vehicle and destinations. I have been in the company since MOSS has started logistics services and warehousing. There were only five drivers, today there are twenty of them. I enjoy my job - my vehicle is loaded with electronical appliances by warehousemen in the morning. I just sit in and drive to several unloading spots that my dispatchers planned the day before. I'm at home twice a week and I have free weekends.

When I was deciding what to do, I wanted to be a bricklayer or plumber. But both my parents worked in ČSAD and had decided I became an autoelectric, because it is less dirty than a classic car mechanic. And so it was, and I've been doing my mechanics for all my life. I had car repairs as a business before but I still had to deal with unpaid invoices and other issues. After the MOSS offer came, I quit business and became a MOSS mechanic.

When I look back today the beginning was pretty funny - we had a superstructure from the old V3S vehicle and were repairing cars in the open area the first year. Today we have a modern service, a spare parts store and a guaranteed job because we have 160 vehicles in MOSS. It might seem like I'm still doing the same, and I'm not moving anywhere but it's not. With the improvement of trucks and the ever-improved technology, I'm still learning something new. I'm a pragmatist, so I appreciate the stability of the company. I have been working here for more than 15 years and I'm happy.

"I've been behind the wheel at MOSS for seven years now, and I still enjoy it."

Before that, I worked in the exhibition industry - we organized motorcycle shows. It was a nice job, but the field was difficult, it no longer had a future for companies. I always had respect for big trucks, those road behemoths, and I'd better start with some smaller car. And MOSS was one of the few companies where that was possible.

Thanks to a retraining program, the Labor Office paid for me to upgrade my driver's license to C and get my professional competence certificate. MOSS later paid for me to add the E category as well. I started with a 7.5-ton truck, and now I've been driving a 12.5-ton truck for five years. And that really suits me.

I most enjoy driving to France. They have great roads, large parking lots, everything is clean and clear. And, most importantly, no traffic jams. When I have a break, I like to take a walk, look around, and just relax. I have to say that, paradoxically, starting to drive professionally has also benefited my relationship. My wife and I call each other twice a day, we look forward to seeing each other, we love each other. I have two boys; they are grown up and both have good jobs, so I'm proud of them too.
